The top of Pennsylvania:
Mount Davis
Elevation:3,213 feet
Location:east of Listonburg, PA
Date:11/05/2001

Woke up in Ohiopyle State Park after a surprising warm night given the time of year. Run through the normal routine of breaking camp and getting on the road. Spend a few miles stuck behind a truck on the Pennsylvanian back roads, but mostly make good time and I find the Mount Davis Natural Area easily enough.

I scare a few deer as I pull into the parking lot, it appears I'm the only one here this early. The highpoint has a nice exhibit about the natural history of the area and a lookout tower.

I don't stick around too long, as I'm hoping to hit 3 highpoints today. Next up, Maryland's Backbone Mountain.
