The top of Indiana:
Hoosier Hill
Elevation:1,257 feet
Location:north of Richmond, IN
Date:05/30/2001

There is absolutely nothing grand or adventurous in the start of my highpointing quest. Indiana's summit is a mere two-hour drive from my home in Bloomington. I woke up early on this day in late May (I always like to start trips early, pre-sunrise early) and remember on a few things about this highpoint:

I recall arriving at the highpoint just before 8am, when I would normally be at work.

I did not feel a great sense of accomplishment at reaching this highpoint.

I do remember the highpoint having a peaceful, park-like atmosphere.

I snapped a few pictures, signed the register and headed on to bag Ohio's Campbell Hill.

I've returned on one other occasion to visit Hoosier Hill, on Aug 25th 2001.
