The top of Alabama:
Cheaha Mountain
Elevation:2,407 feet
Location:south of Anniston, AL
Date:04/28/2002

After leaving Florala, AL (near Florida's Britton Hill) in the early morning hours we drove across much of Alabama finally reaching Cheaha Mountain.

Summit of Cheaha Mountain
Cloudy day at Cheaha Mountain.

We drove all the way to the summit and the lookout tower. We snapped a few pictures and climbed the tower for a cloudy view. A few other tourists came and went from the summit while we were there.

On the way back to the interstate, we stopped along 281 for a picture of the Cheaha ridgeline. Then we continued on to Mississippi's Woodall Mountain.
